Fire Mitigation in the Denver Metro
Reduce wildfire risk around your home. We thin trees, remove ladder fuels and clear brush to help create defensible space on your property.
Fire Mitigation, done right.
Colorado's dry seasons and wind make wildfire a real concern, especially for properties near open space, grasslands and the foothills. Thoughtful tree and brush work around a home can reduce the fuel available to a fire.
We help create defensible space by thinning dense trees, removing low branches that act as "ladder fuels," and clearing dead vegetation and brush, while keeping the healthy trees you love.

Fire Mitigation: FAQ
What is defensible space?
Defensible space is the buffer around a home where vegetation is managed to slow the spread of fire and give firefighters room to work. It typically involves thinning, removing ladder fuels and clearing dead material, especially closest to the house.
Do I have to remove all my trees?
No. Good mitigation is about spacing, pruning and removing the most hazardous fuels, not clear-cutting. Healthy, well-spaced trees can stay.
Is this required for my home?
Requirements vary by location, HOA and insurer. Check with your local fire district or insurance provider. We're happy to help you meet their recommendations.
What happens to the cut material?
We chip it or haul it away, so it doesn't become new fuel on your property.
